Formed in 1988 by a committed group of neighbors, Friends of Highland Parks and Beaches is focused on raising awareness of the importance of Lake Michigan to our community and to advocate thoughtful, environmentally sensitive and sustainable development of the lake, shoreline, bluffs and ravines.

Highland Park is privileged to reside adjacent to what many consider to be the 8th Wonder of the World—Lake Michigan. Stewardship of this national treasure is essential for natural environments to thrive and for the wonderment and enjoyment of generations to come.
